Blackjack Tournaments

A blackjack tournament changes the objective of ordinary blackjack: players still make decisions against the dealer, but their real competition is the bankrolls of the other players at the table.

Tournament structure

Players normally begin with equal tournament-chip stacks and play a predetermined number of hands or an elimination format. At the end of a round, the players with the largest remaining bankrolls advance.

Betting position

Betting order and the position of the dealer button can be critical because later bettors may be able to react to the wagers already made by opponents.
